Job Description / Responsibilities

  • Work in the MariaDB Server engineering team with the focus on testing features and functionality of the server

  • The type of testing you will perform is mainly functional testing, regression testing and system testing

  • You will make use of the testing tools available for the MariaDB Server, including MySQL Test Run, Random Query Generator and any other tests included in the build system (which is based on the Buildbot framework)

  • You will work with the MariaDB Server developers from the company, but you will also go through issues reported by the community, i.e. users of MariaDB Server.

  • Your desire is to become a well respected tester


  • 5+ years of Software testing

  • Understanding of database servers

  • Familiar with C/C++ code

  • Familiar with SQL

  • Be self-motivated and work independently in a highly distributed team

  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion

  • Speak English fluently, participate in online meetings

  • Obtain necessary information from colleagues and online
