The Regional Account Manager must be an experienced, articulate, intelligent, highly energetic self-starter and sales hunter with excellent communication skills and natural leadership with a successful track record of new customer acquisition and account penetration, able to demonstrate consistent ability to hit and often exceed quota and have the ability to work in a dynamic sales team structure.
He/she will be responsible for account penetration, opportunity demand creation and revenue generation of opportunities based on assigned and territory target accounts. He/she will sell across each of our service and product offering domains; subscription services, consulting, commercial products, selected third party products and training services In addition, the candidate must understand, master, and articulate the value proposition for migrating to or beginning deployments on MariaDB and MySQL. This requires strong functional product knowledge, a keen understanding of the open source ecosystem, databases and the enterprise database market, as well as customer’s technical, business and interoperability requirements.
