Recommended Versions

Topics on This Page:

  • Summary of Selected Features by Release Series

The fifth step in deploying MariaDB Platform is to select a version to deploy.

Software product versions are often dictated by business requirements for testing, product maturity, and feature availability.

Considerations when selecting a product version include:

  • The MariaDB Corporation Engineering Policy, which details products and versions supported.

  • The MariaDB Corporation Subscription Services Policy, which details support methods.

  • For production environments, MariaDB Corporation generally recommends that customers use the newest possible release on a supported release series.

  • The latest features are available in the most recent Generally Available (GA) release series.

  • Testing should occur before production deployment.
