Overview
MariaDB MaxScale serves as the load balancer in certain MariaDB SkySQL topologies.
When MaxScale Redundancy is enabled, multiple MaxScale nodes are deployed and MaxScale instance size can be selected.
MaxScale Redundancy is available to Power Tier customers.

By default, instance sizes are selected from available service options at time of service launch:
