DETAILS

Flow Control throttles replication to allow slow nodes to catch up with the cluster. This is done to prevent the nodes from falling too far behind the cluster in applying transactions.

This status variable shows the fraction of time since the node was started or the FLUSH STATUS statement was issued during which the node was paused due to Flow Control. The closer the value is to 1.0 the greater the percentage of time the node has spent with replication paused.

EXAMPLES

Use the SHOW STATUS statement to view the fraction of time the node has spent paused due to Flow Control:

SHOW STATUS LIKE "wsrep_flow_control_paused";
+---------------------------+----------+
| Variable_name             | Value    |
+---------------------------+----------+
| wsrep_flow_control_paused | 0.025121 |
