* New system variables [log\_bin\_basename](/docs/server/ha-and-performance/standard-replication/replication-and-binary-log-system-variables.md), [log\_bin\_index](/docs/server/ha-and-performance/standard-replication/replication-and-binary-log-system-variables.md) and [relay\_log\_basename](/docs/server/ha-and-performance/standard-replication/replication-and-binary-log-system-variables.md).
* New system variable [innodb\_buf\_dump\_status\_frequency](/docs/server/server-usage/storage-engines/innodb/innodb-system-variables.md) for determining how often the buffer pool dump status should be printed in the logs.
* [Mroonga](/docs/server/server-usage/storage-engines/mroonga.md) was enabled and updated to 5.04 (earlier versions of Mroonga did not work in 10.1).
* Added support for [binlog\_row\_image=minimal](/docs/server/ha-and-performance/standard-replication/replication-and-binary-log-system-variables.md) for compatibility with MySQL.
* New status variables [Com\_create\_temporary\_table](/docs/server/server-management/variables-and-modes/server-status-variables.md#com_create_temporary_table) and [Com\_drop\_temporary\_table](/docs/server/server-management/variables-and-modes/server-status-variables.md#com_drop_temporary_table) for tracking the number of CREATE/DROP TEMPORARY TABLE statements.
