Release Notes for MariaDB Community Server 10.5.1

MariaDB Community Server is the community release of MariaDB Server.

MariaDB Community Server 10.5.1 was released on 2020-02-14. It is the first community release of the MariaDB Server 10.5 series. It is a beta release.

New Features

  • Removes multiple instances of InnoDB Buffer Pool. (MDEV-15058)

  • Support added to allow packed values of non-sorted fields in the sort buffer. (MDEV-21263)

  • Support added to MariaDB SQL statements to make REPLICA a synonym for SLAVE. (MDEV-20601)

  • Support added for Galera Global Transaction ID in MariaDB Cluster. MariaDB Cluster now replicates MariaDB Global Transaction ID to other nodes in the cluster. (MDEV-20720)

  • Support added for Non Blocking Operations method in wsrep_osu_method system variable. (MDEV-20051)

  • Shows internal type for TIMESTAMP, DATETIME, and TIME data types as a comment when using SHOW CREATE TABLE. (MDEV-19906)
