Release Notes for MariaDB Connector/Python 0.9.57-beta


MariaDB Connector/Python is the interface between Python applications and MariaDB Server. MariaDB Connector/Python enables development of Python applications. It is compliant with Python DB API 2.0 (PEP-249). It is written in C and uses MariaDB Connector/C.

MariaDB Connector/Python 0.9.57-beta was released on 2020-04-15. It is an beta release of MariaDB Connector/Python.

Notable Changes

  • Build: POSIX builds no longer statically links against MariaDB Connector/C.

  • Allow empty parameter sequence in execute() method. (CONPY-53)

  • Support dictionary option in cursor: Added an optional boolean parameter dictionary for cursor class. When dictionary parameter was set to True, the fetch operations will return rows from result-set as Dict (CONPY-56)

Issues Fixed

  • Fixed memory leak when opening/closing cursor. (CONPY-55)
