# System Variables Added in MariaDB 12.2

This is a list of [system variables](/docs/server/server-management/variables-and-modes/server-system-variables.md) that have been added in the [MariaDB 12.2](/docs/release-notes/community-server/old-releases/12.2/mariadb-12.2-changes-and-improvements.md) series.

No new system variables were added in the MariaDB 12.2 series. The 12.2 release focused on optimizer hints and Oracle-compatibility functions rather than new configuration options.
