Overview

Returns 1 when the geometry of the first argument completely contains the geometry of the second argument.

SET @pt1 = Point(0,0);
SET @ls1 = ST_GeomFromText('LINESTRING(0 0,1 1,2 2)');
SELECT ST_Contains(@ls1, @pt1);
