USAGE
SkySQL interfaces refer to the system_time_zone
system variable as default_time_zone
. The system variable can be configured in Configuration ManagerConfiguration Manager for some topologies using that name.
The system_time_zone
system variable can be set indirectly by setting the default_time_zone
option in a configuration file:
[mariadb]
default_time_zone='UTC'
The global value of the system_time_zone
system variable can also be set dynamically at runtime by executing SET GLOBAL:
SET GLOBAL system_time_zone='UTC'
When the system_time_zone
system variable is set dynamically at runtime, its value will be reset the next time the server restarts. To make the value persist on restart, set the default_time_zone
option in a configuration file too.
