Overview

Return a string that starts with an uppercase letter instead of lowercase.

USAGE

CAPITALIZE(string)

The string to transform

DETAILS

CAPITALIZE() is a string function that returns the input value with an initial lowercase character transformed into uppercase based on the character set mapping in effect.

If the string's first character is not a lowercase character, the string is returned unchanged.

A NULL is returned if the argument is NULL.
