When to Use the File Key Management Encryption Plugin?

The File Key Management Encryption Plugin (file_key_management) allows you to:

• Use a plain-text key file to manage MariaDB's encryption keys.

  • The key file can optionally be encrypted.

• Encrypt MariaDB data using those keys, including:

  • InnoDB Data

  • Aria Data

  • Binary Logs

  • Galera Cluster's GCache
