Overview
MariaDB SkySQL Transactions services on AWS feature SSD-backed storage, provisioned IOPS, and data-at-rest encryption.
Storage size and provisioned IOPS are configured at time of service launch. Contact SkySQL Support for assistance with storage management.
Compatibility
This page applies to the following topologies when deployed on AWS:
Distributed Transactions
Replicated Transactions
Single Node Transactions
Defaults
This page details defaults. Please contact us if any aspect of service does not align to your intended use case.
Technology
Data-at-Rest Encryption
Provisioned IOPS
IOPS are I/O operations per second, a measure of storage performance.
IOPS provisioned per GB of storage are specified at time of service launch.
The maximum IOPS for a specific service will depend on the provisioned IOPS per GB of storage, the number of GB of storage per node, and the number of nodes; maximum IOPS = provisioned IOPS/GB * GB of storage/node * node count
By default, services on Power Tier can be configured with up to 50 IOPS/GB. Services on Foundation Tier can be configured with up to 25 IOPS/GB.
Storage Sizes (Foundation Tier)
The following storage sizes are available for Foundation Tier customers:
100GB | 400GB | 700GB | 1000GB |
200GB | 500GB | 800GB | |
300GB | 600GB | 900GB |
Storage Sizes (Power Tier)
The following storage sizes are available by default for Power Tier customers:
100GB | 500GB | 900GB | 4000GB | 8000GB |
