Overview
MariaDB Agent Manager uses systemd to manage its services.
Systemd Services
MariaDB Agent Manager uses different services on Forwarding Hosts and Monitored Hosts.
MariaDB Agent Manager installs the unit files for the services to the systemd unit file directory.
Forwarding Hosts
On Forwarding Hosts, MariaDB Agent Manager uses the following services:
mariadb-agent-manager
prometheus
skysql-uni-exporter
Monitored Hosts
On Monitored Hosts, MariaDB Agent Manager uses different services, depending on the software running on the host.
For Monitored Hosts running MariaDB Enterprise Server, MariaDB Xpand, MariaDB Enterprise ColumnStore, or MariaDB Enterprise Cluster (Powered by Galera), MariaDB Agent Manager uses the following services:
mariadb-exporter
node-exporter
For Monitored Hosts running MariaDB MaxScale, MariaDB Agent Manager uses the following services:
maxscale-exporter
node-exporter
Systemd Modes
MariaDB Agent Manager can be installed to use systemd in system or user mode.
The systemd mode depends on the operating system version:
