Overview

This is a command-line option for the mariadb-backup & mariabackup commands (arg: Optional).

In 11.4 ES:

This option enables the tracking of backup history in the mysql.mariadb_backup_history table. An optional history series name may be specified that will be placed with the history record for the current backup being taken.

In 10.6 ES, 10.6 CS, 10.5 ES, 10.5 CS, 10.4 ES, 10.4 CS, 10.3 ES, 10.3 CS, 10.2 ES, 10.2 CS:

This option enables the tracking of backup history in the PERCONA_SCHEMA.xtrabackup_history table. An optional history series name may be specified that will be placed with the history record for the current backup being taken.
