Supported Formats

MariaDB AI RAG supports ingestion of PDF, Word, PowerPoint, plain text, Markdown, HTML, and CSV files, with additional formats available through compatible text extraction libraries.

MariaDB AI RAG supports the following file formats for document ingestion:

• PDF (.pdf)

• Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx)

• Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx)

• Plain Text (.txt)

• Markdown (.md)

• HTML (.html, .htm)

• CSV (.csv)

Additional formats can be supported by installing the appropriate text extraction libraries.
