Release Notes for MariaDB MaxScale 2.5.11

Overview

MariaDB MaxScale is an advanced database proxy, firewall, and query router.

MariaDB MaxScale 2.5.11 was released on 2021-05-04. This release is of General Availability (GA) maturity.

Issues Fixed

  • Syslog filtering configuration ignored, causing MaxScale to log all syslog messages. (MXS-3509)

  • The lazy_connect parameter does not prevent unnecessary connection to back-end server at session end. (MXS-3505)

  • Unexpected errors in replication stream stop the Kafka CDC process. (MXS-3504)

  • After migrating active transactions to a new Primary server, the Read/Write Split router does not close open transactions on the old Primary server. (MXS-3487)

  • MaxCtrl does not strip colors when printing to a non-tty terminal, resulting in malformed output. (MXS-3483)

  • Transaction replay may fail during an Xpand group change. (MXS-3472)

  • MaxScale crashes if the system clock is changed to cause a negative time interval, for example for daylight savings time in the US. (MXS-3471)

  • Read statistics not collected on read-only transactions for Primary server when using the master_accept_reads parameter. (MXS-3468)

  • Updates to a target service do not propagate to services that use the target service. (MXS-3462)

  • Query classifier for LOAD DATA LOCAL INFILELOAD DATA LOCAL INFILE statements attempts to process binary data as SQL commands, resulting in errors. (MXS-3459)

  • Transaction replay not tracking prepared statements within transactions. (MXS-3454)
