MariaDB ColumnStore ist ein spaltenorientierte Datenbank, das aus der Portierung von InfiniDB 4.6.7 auf MariaDB 10.1 und 10.2 hervorgeht. Es wurde für die Skalierung großer Datenmengen entwickelt, um Petabyte an Daten zu verarbeiten, lineare Skalierbarkeit und außergewöhnliche Leistung mit Echtzeit-Antwort auf Analysenanfragen. Es nutzt die I/O-Vorteile von spaltenorientierte Speicherung, Kompression, Just-in-time-Projektion sowie horizontaler und vertikaler Partitionierung, um eine enorme Leistung bei der Analyse großer Datensätze zu erzielen.
