automatic rejoin not working

Hello, I have a MariaDB cluster with one master and one slave. I use Maxscale monitor. If the master goes down and anther slave become master, then other server goes up, automatic rejoin can't join that server into the cluster with this warning:
warning: Automatic rejoin was not attempted on server 'master' even though it is a valid candidate. Will keep retrying with this message suppressed for all servers. Errors: 'master' does not have a valid gtid_current_pos.
what should I do?

It's possible that this is a known problem which is why I'd recommend opening a bug report on the MariaDB Jira.
