How to enable debug functions (such as DBUG_PRINT , DEBUG_ENTER, ...) in order to get some traces in a logfile ?

Hi, I'm wondering how to enable debug functions (such as DBUG_PRINT , DEBUG_ENTER, ...) in order to get some traces in a logfile ?

Is it possible to do that by recompiling the connect by adding some define ?
