Comments - Configuring MariaDB with Option Files

Possible errors and/or uncertainties on this page under "Tool-Specific Option Groups" section:

While [mysqlimport], [mysqlbinlog], [mysqladmin], [mysqlshow], [mysqlcheck] and [mysqlslap] explicitly say, "Options read by mysqlslap, which includes both MariaDB Server and MySQL Server." .. which makes sense to me.

[mariadb-import], [mariadb-binlog], [mariadb-admin], [mariadb-show], [mariadb-check] and [mariadb-slap] don't say which servers they relate to. I am guessing they are for mariadb ONLY. ?? Why else would you come out with some new group names specific to MariaDB?

But if so, then furthermore, when [mariadb-dump] says "Options read by mysqldump, which includes both MariaDB Server and MySQL Server.", that might be wrong, in other words it might not relate to MySQL, but only to MariaDB. At the very least it's inconsistent with the other descriptions.

Thanks.!

Yeah, that was an error, and it has been corrected. Thanks for pointing it out.

Ok, good, but this still hasn't been addressed:

[mariadb-dump] , [mariadb-import], [mariadb-binlog], [mariadb-admin], [mariadb-show], [mariadb-check] and [mariadb-slap] don't say which servers they relate to.

I am guessing they are for mariadb ONLY. ?? And not mysql???

Correct, they are only for MariaDB. If an option group name contains the string "mariadb", then it is only supported by MariaDB.
