Normally cmake should build 64 bit binaries on 64 bit systems and 32 bit binaries on 32 bit systems.
Not sure what defines it, but a workaround is to use the build scripts: ./BUILD/compile-pentium64-max
This is guaranteed to do a 64 bit build.
