I'm afraid I can't help you bu I suspect you're more likely to get attention from homebrew devs who do this packaging by opening an issue there (or finding one that matches): https://github.com/Homebrew/brew/issues
Another way of doing this would be to run a Linux virtual machine / docker image inside OS X, if you only need it for one project.
