Restoring data from an mylvmbackup file has been giving me the following errors in the syslog when starting up mysql.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Huge pages are disabled.
Which version of MariaDB?
Hi sorry, should have mentioned that. MariaDB version is: 10.1.13.
The Ubuntu install instructions do not work for MariaDB 10.3
How to enable TokuDB on Server version: 10.2.13-MariaDB-log Columnstore 1.1.3-1 / CentOS7 User Modules? Neither
[exits with: ERROR 1123 (HY000): Can't initialize function 'TokuDB'; Plugin initialization function failed.] nor adding
to /usr/local/mariadb/columnstore/mysql/my.cnf do seem to work.
Of course Transparent Hugepages are disabled.
Thanks
This document has an error, for debian and mariadb 10.2 the correct package to install is mariadb-plugin-tokudb
Thanks, updated.
Is it possible the Toku DB plugin for the homebrew version of mariadb? thanks
No, TokuDB is currently only supported on 64-bit Linux systems.
are there any plans at least to support it on OS X?
I've seen some very preliminary movements in this direction, but as of now, no, no formal plans that I'm aware of.
Hmm. Yes. lp:maria-captains/maria/trunk is some old and obsolete tree.
10.0 tree is at lp:maria or lp:maria/10.0 or lp:maria/trunk
but not lp:maria-captains/maria/trunk
hi,
/storage/TokuDB acn not be found from launchpad source distro: bzr branch lp:maria-captains/maria/trunk trunk
,.. but I found it from source file:
https://downloads.mariadb.org/interstitial/mariadb-10.0.7/kvm-tarbake-jaunty-x86/mariadb-10.0.7.tar.gz/from/http://mirror.netinch.com/pub/mariadb
Thanks sergei from about not so direct glue to problem.
I'am compling now.
I've already replied to that. You need gcc 4.7 or later and cmake 2.8.9 or later to build with TokuDB.
hi,
Is there depency reason or why there is not Ubuntu 12.4 lts of tokudb at:
sudo apt-get install mariadb-tokudb-engine-5.5
I could make it from sources if know how to patch, you have allready done it other versions,...
There is storage/toludb *already* in 10.0 tree, you don't need to download TokuDB from github. In fact, TokuDB from github won't compile in MariaDB source tree.
You need gcc 4.7 or later and cmake 2.8.9 or later to build with TokuDB.
Yes, TokuDB as compiled for MySQL uses somewhat different storage engine API, so it won't work for MariaDB.
Yes. Please add yourself to the "watch list" for MDEV-5027 — and you will be notified when we will do that.
CentOS is currently not on the list of supported platforms. and yum list | grep MariaDB does not show MariaDB-tokudb-engine.
would it be possible to also add tokudb to the CentOS repo?
Thanks!
