Comments - Is it possible to alter S3 table to INNODB?

alter table t1 comment="hello"; show create table t1; alter table t1 engine=innodb; show create table t1;
What's the first 'alter' for ? Is it means it's not able to change the storage engine form s3 to innodb directly?
