# ISNULL

## Syntax

```bnf
ISNULL(expr)
```

## Description

If *`expr`* is `NULL`, `ISNULL()` returns `1`, otherwise it returns 0.

## Examples

```sql
SELECT ISNULL(1+1);
+-------------+
| ISNULL(1+1) |
+-------------+
|           0 |
+-------------+

SELECT ISNULL(1/0);

+-------------+
|           1 |
+-------------+
```
