The obvious thing to me is that mariadb:10.3 doesn't include columnstore, it wasn't added until 10.5.
The second issue is that mariadb:10.5 containers don't include the mariadb-plugin-columnstore package by default. I've been meaning to document something about this. It will happen soon. but for now the general form is to create your own container
Dockerfile:
FROM mariadb:10.5
RUN apt-get update && apt-get install -y mariadb-plugin-columnstore
I still haven't yet looks at the rest of the architecture to see what is requires to make the other columnstore instances run. Assistance would be most welcome.
Hi Daniel,
Thank you so much for the response.
I have been using MariaDB columnstore docker. When I checked the version, it showing me this Server version: 10.3.16-MariaDB-log Columnstore 1.2.5-1.
It's not able to create mysql.sock. Though I have the backup of data, I am not able to use it as MariaDB is not starting.
The data size is approx 1.4 TB.
Kindly suggest what can be done.
