if we install new version after upgrade , which config should we backup and keep. Can it used back.
If you refer to using configuration from RHEL 7 in RHEL8, those are compatible. Only major MaxScale version changes can cause conflicts.
It is always a good idea to back up configurations and other important data when doing an upgrade.
