Looking for some guidance on using xbstream to upload nightly snapshots of my database to AWS S3...I am using the following command:
mariabackup --stream=xbstream --backup --databases=myapp_production_db --tables-exclude=dont_backup_these_* --target-dir=/home/deploy/data/backups --user root --password xyz | gzip | gof3r put -b myapp.production/backup/db -k myapp_production_db_20200105.gz
Would this be correct? I am piping the mariabackup into gzip which I am then piping to gof3r to stream upload into my AWS S3 bucket. Please advise!
Paul, did you ever get an answer to this? Or improve on it yourself?
