concerning "TLS Using OpenSSL Encryption with Galera-compatible Certificates and Keys" and Server1: it is not very clear: can server1-cert.pem and server1-key.pem be used on each galera node, or does each server need its own key/certificate?
You need to install the mariabackup command line utility in order to use mariabackup SST method.
I figured this out after several hours of struggle.
