Hi there, I just upgraded my Debian Squeeze machine using the repos and now I can no longer login to the database on the command line via mysql -p and neither can any applications running on my server connect to the databases. Note that this is only when I use the password.
I can login fine as a root user using a blank password. And then I can change anything in the databases. Either my machine got cracked or this is a security issue on your side.
