You still have the Admin Console command, mcsadmin. You can run commands like 'getSystemInfo' that will show the status of the system. You have have commands like 'getSystemResourceUsage' which show the local server/node resource usage, like memory, cpu, and disk. Local system alarms are still detected and reported and those can be shown by the command 'getActiveAlarms'.

We decided to remove the snmp capability as it added a lot of complexity to the system and 80% of what it does can be covered by a standard monitoring tool setup. To monitor the columnstore system health use the getSystemInfo call and wrap that in your monitoring tool. I have a simple reference implementation if you need some pointers.
