MariaDB Community Server and query result caching

Hello, I am currently using a VPS with Debian 8+MariaDB 10.2.32. I am planning to move to Centos8. I have been told by Plesk support that Centos8 comes with MariaDB Community Server 10.3. One of the MariaDB features I much appreciate on Debian is query result caching. However it seems that this feature is not available in MariaDB Community Server 10.3 according to the comparison table at https://mariadb.com/products/platform-subscription/. 1/Is this table correct? 2/What would be the solution to have this feature enabled ? Best Regards, C.L.

Answer

If you're talking about the Query Cache available in MariaDB Server 10.2, yes, it's available in MariaDB 10.3 as well. I think the feature on the sheet you link is referring to MaxScale. You can see the full list of changes between MariaDB 10.2 and 10.3 on Upgrading from MariaDB 10.2 to MariaDB 10.3.
