Comments - Is there any java connector for MariaDB than the one from Mysql(mysql-java-5.1.6.jar) ?

The Ubuntu repos list libmysql-java as a Java database driver for MySQL. I do not know if it is from MySQL or a third party.
One question I have is which OS are you using?
