Moving process names, directories, tcp port etc from MySQL to mariaDB ?

Is there a time line for mariadb break away from using mysql for things like its default port, directory names, suggested user name, lock directory, names of support programs, etc ?

I know most things can be set in ./configure or in the .cnf file but isn't it time to make the move ?
