# mysql\_convert\_table\_format

`mysql-convert-table-format` converts the tables in a database to use a particular storage engine (MyISAM by default).

From [MariaDB 10.5](/docs/release-notes/community-server/old-releases/10.5/what-is-mariadb-105.md), the client is called `mariadb-convert-table-format`. It can still be accessed under its original `mysql-convert-table-format` name via a symlink in Linux, or an alternate binary in Windows.

See [mariadb-convert-table-format](/docs/server/clients-and-utilities/table-tools/mariadb-convert-table-format.md) for details.
