Got a 1064 error on most of the clients running 10.3.6. No error message. Only msql_errno() returns 1064. Some 10.2.xx could still use the c program used to test if application could connect and send requests. I'm using leap opensuse 15 and this happened while updating mariadb and libmariadb-devel. Working version is 3.0.3 on some computers but when downgrading from 3.0.9 to 3.0.3 the client stays as 10.3.6...
