When I tried to download, there was only the Linux version. All my systems are in the FreeBSD version. FreeBSD is more stable and better than Linux to operate DBMS. I hope you are considerate of FreeBSD users too.
Answer
There some history of FreeBSD and MaxScale however quoting MXS-4344 "We only support Linux. Pull-requests may be accepted provided they do not break the Linux build".
