The title indicates that its varchar(10). 10 is the amount of characters in "255:255:25"
Could it be the case that one is 10 long and the other is 20 long?
column have same size varchar(10) on both plateform.
possibly SQL_MODE=STRICT_TRANS_TABLES or STRICT_ALL_TABLES
