Dear MariaDB, Possible error: on https://mariadb.com/kb/en/library/introduction-to-relational-databases/ it is noted "Each column (also called a tuple)", whereas on https://mariadb.com/kb/en/library/relational-databases-basic-terms/ it states "the horizontal rows [records] in the table, also called tuples". Which use of tuple is correct?
Sincerely Aye
Hello Aye, according to other literature on relational databases, the term 'tuple' applies to the rows[records], and 'attributes' to columns. The first one of the two uses you pointed out is incorrect.
