# RIGHT

## Syntax

```bnf
RIGHT(str,len)
```

## Description

Returns the rightmost *`len`* characters from the string *`str`*, or `NULL` if any argument is `NULL`.

## Examples

```sql
SELECT RIGHT('MariaDB', 2);
+---------------------+
| RIGHT('MariaDB', 2) |
+---------------------+
| DB                  |
+---------------------+
```
