Auditing regulations are being introduced in organizations to comply with laws and industry standards. To meet these auditing regulations, organizations need a way to track user access to data in databases.
The MariaDB Audit Plugin introduces the capabilities of tracking user access to data. In addition to having the Audit Plugin available in MariaDB from versions 5.5.37 and 10.0.10. It can also be used for MySQL (although it is not currently available for MySQL 5.7 - see MDEV-9106) and Percona Server.
