I get an error (not a warning) when date does not parse correctly. Perhaps it would be good to mention which MariaDB option or options might affect this behavior. (at the moment I'm not sure myself how to turn the error off to get warnings and I thought I was using nearly default settings in my.ini)
There is a typo in %x description. It should be Year with 4 digits when first day of the week is Monday. Not Sunday.
And in %w description should be 6 = Saturday. Not 1.
