Updating mariadb 10.1.25 to mariadb 10.2.9 with galera cluster

I'm currently running the former version on three servers with galera cluster running in multi-master mode. Are there specific steps to ensure data integrity between the nodes when upgrading to 10.2.9.

I've seen some upgrade paths, but few speak speficically about galera nodes and data integrity, if i have missed something obvious a link would be great. I have red this: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/library/upgrading-from-mariadb-101-to-mariadb-102/, but seems mostly stand alone and i would like to keep the cluster active during each server upgrade.
