utf8mb4 utf16 and utf32 support?
I am wondering when these new character sets from MySQL 5.5 will be supported in MariaDB? I would very much like to see support for these 3 character sets backported to MariaDB.

We are unlikely to backport character sets, but we do plan to release MariaDB 5.5 (based on MySQL 5.5) and those character sets will then be included by default in that release of MariaDB.
