php5 is for ubuntu.... do you have a link specific to centos?
apart from the symbol version illustrated nothing is ubutu specific in the linked page.
The recommendation is to use mysqlnd, which in the case of CentOS7 is available php-mysqlnd-5.4.16-23.el7_0.3.x86_64
