X protocol
Is there any plans to implement the X protocol or something similar for mariadb ?
Would be great to be able to use protocol buffers as i would like to have a central proxy that i can use http to talk to a it passes back in the response body the mysql payload. the only way i can see of doing this is really hacky with the current mysql protocol.

I'm not aware of any plans to do so.
