Start/Stop

MariaDB SkySQL management tasks are performed via the SkySQL Portal.

Services on GCP, with the exception of Distributed SQL, can be stopped and started.

Stopping a Service

A service can be stopped when it is in a Running state.

  • While in Stopped state, the service will not accept new connections.

  • Stopped SkySQL services continue to accrue charges for storage, since data is preserved.

  • Instance and egress charges will stop until the service is started again.

To stop a service:

  1. Log in to the SkySQL Portal.

  2. Access "Your Services" in the SkySQL main menu (left navigation).

  3. Click the name of the desired service.

  4. Click the "Stop Service" button.
