New Features in this Release¶
MariaDB SkySQL is now available on Amazon AWS as a Technical Preview.
Available topologies: Distributed Transactions, HA (Primary/Replica), Transactional Standalone
Available regions: AWS us-east-2, AWS eu-central-1, AWS ap-southeast-1
Available instance sizes: Sky-2x8, Sky-4x16, Sky-4x32, Sky-8x32, Sky-8x64, Sky-16x64, Sky-16x128, Sky-32x128, Sky-32x256, Sky-64x256, Sky-64x512
Infrastructure: Amazon AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
Storage: EBS Provisioned IOPS SSD (io1 type) with Amazon EBS encryption
SkySQL Monitoring adds alerting features (for services on AWS or GCP).
Condition-based alerting rules (metric vs threshold for time interval)
Rule tagging to enable grouping of like alerts
Notification channels to receive alerts, with email-based delivery
Notifications sent to notification channels based on tags and severity
Updates to SkySQL User Interfaces¶
Amazon AWS added as a supported cloud platform in Launch and Service pages, with applicable AWS instance sizes and AWS regions.
